Case overview
At Ploski Films, we produced “Laryngectomy” — a deeply human short documentary giving voice to two remarkable laryngectomy survivors. Through their stories, the film explores life before and after larynx removal due to cancer — touching on personal identity, emotional recovery, rediscovering communication through esophageal speech, and building patient advocacy communities.
Shot and edited with a sensitive, documentary-style approach, this project highlights resilience, therapy, and the power of shared experience. It was designed not only as an inspiring patient story but also as an educational tool for medical institutions and awareness campaigns.
